I am new here, I have been metal detecting for a few years.
I have a Fisher 1225-X, IDX Pro, MXT, GMT, DIscovery 2 box, and a treasure mate pin pointer. I have not been as busy detecting as I once was, but now I am getting back into it.

just signed up myself a few minutes ago, hello from sandpoint! I've been trying my hand at prospecting for the last few years, and figured MDing would go hand in hand. so with a little help from tax overpayment, i took the plunge and ordered a V3i from kellyco monday. should be here by wednesday.
i know this machine won't pickup anything REAL deep, but there are some rumored caches i'm excited to check out.
HAPPY HUNTING!!

I appreciate you taking the time to post in the forum. Since I have so many irons in the fire I haven't been able to post as much as I would like.

dene97, I would like information on how well the V3i does for you, so keep us informed. I hope to be out with my White's DFX very soon, but the ground is still to hard here in the Boise area for the depth my DFX will go.

TCBoise, it seems like you have plenty of machines to work with, so hope to hear of your adventures and what you find. Be sure to post your interesting finds here in the forum for all to see

New member here. Not new to MD. I have been detecting for about 15 years or more. Mostly Lousiana or Washington. Retired now and I got to get away from the honey do list.
I have 2 machines,A cobra and White's eagle II.
I haven't used then in at least 5 years. It's time to dust them off.

I am also new to the forum. I live in Bayview, Idaho and am looking forward to spring. As a hunting guide here in North Idaho I have come across several old mining camp sites that I want to go back to and search with my new Bounty Hunter Landstar...

Hello. Live in meridian ID. Have a garrett gte 2500 and a landstar.
I am new to site and I am trying to learn more about the hobbie.
I have used the detectors for about 3 years, I've done a bit of detecting. But can't seem to get the hang of the right sound. Or just I'm wrong places. I find all junk. But I usually am able to find when the detector pinpoints.
Anyhow, I had set a time to go search 20 acres that a person let me search their land. I was so completely ecstatic about going I was like a child before birthday. Well I went and found nothing. It was not level land and just kept getting 22cal shells. Just need to find a good area to be able to search. I can only search on Sunday's but that's all I want to do is search! And find something from the past.
Anyway. Thanks learning a lot here.
